Why re-encode a WebP file?

WebP is already an efficient format, but small WebP files are often saved at low quality: they look soft, show blocking around edges and lose fine texture. Re-encoding such a file at high quality with light denoising and sharpening usually produces a cleaner result than the original, and you can additionally set a target size or scale the image up to 2x, 4x or 8x.
